Photo Tips Print E-mail

"Michael Coghlan" by KovalFor the photo-shoot, we recommend that you keep your appearance as neutral as possible. Remember, the casting director wants to see the 'real' you. Wear something simple and avoid props, backgrounds and accessories. Your eyes are the most important features on your face, so make sure they are as visible as possible. Please remember that fair hair on a light background or dark hair on a dark background does not reproduce well.

When choosing a shot select one which looks most like you and which you think best reflects your look and talents. Ask the opinion of people you trust – and while family and friends can be helpful and supportive, they may not be the best judges, better to ask fellow actors, your agent or the photographer.

One way of doing this is to submit your photo to get anonymous feedback on which character type, emotion, and age range our actor's associate with your headshot.
